EARLY BIRD DISCOUNTS

15% discount off the fees stated below for registration and payment received 2 months before the starting date of the registered training.

10% discount off the fees stated below for registration and payment received 1 month before the starting date of the registered training.

Q4. Do you offer any other registration fee discounts apart from the Early Bird discounts?

A. Yes, there are two other separate discounts available which can be used in conjunction with each other and the Early Bird discount, if applicable.

The first is a Church pack discount which entitles each person attending the church of the person who bought a Peacemaking Church Resource Box from PeaceWise in 2008 a $10 discount from any one training session carried out by PeaceWise anywhere in Australia during the 2009 calendar year.  In order to obtain this discount you need to provide the Name of Church and the Discount Code (given at the time of purchase) on your training registration details.

The second discount is a group discount.  For evey 4 people registering at the same time for the same training session, a 5th person can attend for free. To obtain this discount, you need to email contact@peacewise.org.au

Q5. Why don't you have a fee level for full time ministry workers?

A. In setting our registration fee categories we have considered the costs of running the PeaceWise training events as well as what we believe different registrants can afford to pay to attend. We don’t have a registration category for those in “full time ministry” as that description can mean different things to different people and be a bit “blurry around the edges” (particularly as we hope that to some extent all Christians are in “full time ministry” for the Lord – regardless of their paid (or unpaid) occupation). We suspect that this may cause some people to rethink attending the PeaceWise training but we genuinely hope that we won’t exclude people because of the registration fee. Essentially we hope to have sufficient income from the fees to cover the costs of the training and possibly provide a small amount towards our on-going work. You will see that we have quite a number of discounts available which we hope will make the cost of attending as affordable as possible for those keen in making peacemaking an integral part of their lives and in the lives of others around them.

The best way to minimise your registration fee is to take advantage of the early bird discount or better still - register and attend with a group of 5 or more friends or members from your church or organisation.  As our discounts are cumulative, you can save yourself a substantial amount if you register with a group and do it in time to obtain an early bird discount.  By spreading the saving across the group you could all save over 30% off the full registration fee.  Also - don't forget to check whether the church you attend has purchased a Peacemaking Church Resource Box from PeaceWise which allows you to obtain a further $10 off one training session in 2008.

If you feel that even with these discounts the registration fee is prohibitive but you would still like to attend, you can apply for one of our limited sponsorships.   If you want to know more about this or have any other queries, please email contact@peacewise.org.au.

Q6. Where can I buy the book "The Peacemaker" by Ken Sande (Baker Books, 2004, 3rd ed)?

A. This is available for purchase from our on-line shop, at most Christian bookshops or directly from Peacemaker Ministries (www.Peacemaker.net). We will also have copies available for purchase with other resources at all our National training sessions.

Q7. What happens if a training session that I want to register for is full?

A. Although you will not be able to register on-line, we do not want people to miss out on any training if at all possible, so we are placing names on a waiting list for any sessions for which people are unsuccessful.  If any positions become available on selected sessions, we will contact people on the waiting list in date order of reservation. If you would like to put  your name on the waiting list for any such session, please email your name, full contact details and session (including location) which you would like to be waitlisted to bookings@peacewise.org.au.  No deposit is required to be waitlisted for a session, but full payment will be required at the time of attendance.
If you have applied for registration by fax or post, you will be automatically waitlisted and as payment will have already been received you will be refunded any monies after commencement of the training session if unsuccessfully waitlisted.

Q8. I can't attend a training session that I registered for - can I obtain a refund?

A. Our cancellation, refund and transfer policy is as follows:

Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations must be notified in writing to PeaceWise by fax or by email.  You must confirm by phone with PeaceWise that the fax or email has been received to ensure your cancellation will be treated as valid.

A Regular delegate registration may be transferred to a person who would qualify as a Regular or Concessional delegate but not to a person who would be a Professional delegate and a Concessional delegate registration can only be transferred to a person who would qualify as a Concessional delegate)
